Microsoft Word is a Microsoft office application. Microsoft word is used to create different types of documents, letters, resumes etc.

How to Get started with Microsoft Word?
- Open Word.
- Click on new document in the start screen.
- Select Blank Document.

The Ribbon in Word
Word provides tabbed Ribbon system with multiple tabs.
You will get group of related commands.
Some groups also have a small arrow in the bottom-right corner that you can click for even more options.
Showing and hiding the Ribbon
If you need more space on screen. then you can hide it.
Click on ribbon display options arrow in the upper-right corner of the Ribbon.
Select desired option in that menu.
Auto-hide Ribbon: It helps to display your document in full screen mode. & completely hides the ribbon.
Show Tabs: This option helps to hide all command & groups which are not used much. But tabs are visible.
Show Tabs & Commands: It maximizes the ribbon with all commands & tabs.
This is the default option in word, first time.
Ruler is used to adjust your documents. Ruler is placed at the top of your document left side.
How to Show or Hide the Ruler
Click the View tab.
Click the checkbox next to Ruler to show or hide the Ruler.
Backstage view provides you different options like saving, opening a file, printing, and sharing your document.
Click on File tab on the Ribbon to access backstage view.
How to Zoom in & Zoom Out in Word?
You can click on zoom control slider in the bottom tight corner.
- Click on + to Zoom in.
- Click on – to Zoom out.
