How to use Office Programs with the Norton AntiVirus 2007 Office Plugin

If you have installed Norton Setup Antivirus 2007 or Norton Internet Security 2007, then follow the method to use it with Microsoft Office Programs.

The Norton Antivirus plug-in for Microsoft Office scans documents for macro virus infections in Office products.

 

You may face some performance issues like

  • Unable to open some files within office etc.
  • Unable to install some Microsoft office applications.
  • Get some error message.

 

To resolve the above errors, you need to follow these methods.

 

Method 1. Get the Latest Update:

 

Check the latest version of Norton Antivirus software, & obtain that if available.

 

Note: If method 1 doesn’t work, (If you can not update Norton antivirus software through Live update) then follow method 2.

 

Method 2. Disable Norton Antivirus Office Plug-in:

 

This is a little risky method, because it makes the network vulnerable to attack by malicious users or viruses.

You should use this process only if you really require this process.

On the task-bar, right-click the Norton icon, and then click Norton Protection Center.

Depending on which version of Norton you are using, click Norton Antivirus or Norton Internet Security.

Click Settings.

Under Additional Options, click Virus and Spyware Protection Options.

Click Miscellaneous.

Under How to keep Microsoft Office documents protected

Click to clear the Turn on scanning for Microsoft Office Documents check box.
